About Me

Young gentleman traveler that enjoys the small things in life. Seeking stories, have an artistic sensibility & good sense of humor.

I was born in a land of colors, volcanos and Tequila. I did my studies in Mexico about Industrial Design and architecture. I also studied in Germany, where I focused on the Digital Media Major.

I currently work as an industrial designer, scenographer, ilustrator and animator for films, TV and theater. Also, I am starting a company in Mexico City.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the sharing experience. Travel while meeting locals gives me a better understanding of the cultures I visit. I like to discover the beautiful hidden places, tastes, smells and sounds in the world, and locals know these at best.

There is too much to see and do in my city and country. I love to share the beauty of Mexico.

Interests

I am a Tango and Salsa Dancer, I constantly go to theater to see plays (my brother is an actor) and reading some classic good books or play the guitar. I am an avid gamer and I specially love playing any kind of sports, and practicing martial arts like capoeira and box.

I have a fascination for extreme sports, although I have not practiced most of them. I would love to skydive one day and do a boat trip around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to hearing other people´s tastes. but here's a glimpse about mine's:

BOOKS:
Love latin american literature (Borges, Cortázar, Bioy, Vargas-Llosa, Paz, etc), and the work of William Shakespeare and Anton Chekhov. I like Fitzgerald, Poe and some fantasy themed books like Dune or The Watchmen.

MOVIES:
I am very fond of animated movies around the world. I consider Alejandro Gonzáles Iñárritu´s recent movie Birdman a masterpiece. The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Amelie, 1900, Cinema Paradiso, Woody Allen's films, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. When I was 16, I escaped from home for 2 weeks to a lost beach in Mexico with my friends. We found an abandoned airplane that crashed in the middle of the beach some months before. We climbed to the wing and sat there to drink beer and watch the sunset while the dolphins jumped in the horizon.

...I will never forget that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about languages, painting and dancing, take you to parties, and introduce you to nice friends. And mexican cuisine (the real one, querido(a) amigo(a)).
