About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Continue to build my personal independence while becoming more in touch with my community, friends, and the strangers I meet.
ABOUT ME
Currently living in San Diego, CA - America's Finest City! I teach English to non-native speakers at a professional institute. Music is always in the background of my life - I don't play an instrument but I can lend a fancy whistle to any tune. I'm a lady of simple pleasures and often easily amused by the details of my surroundings and the coincidences of life. I'm a very independent and reliable person and I get along well with most everyone I meet.
PHILOSOPHY
"We get up in the mornin, feelin tired, sometimes we feel good, sometimes bad, but we go through it with feeling. From the root to the fruit, that's where everything starts."
"I never loved to read. One does not love breathing." - To Kill a Mockingbird
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosted surfers when I had my own apartment in Santa Cruz and surfed on a few couches in South America.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
All of my experiences with CS have been positive and I look forward to the next.
Interests
I love live music, contemporary art and the history of art, photography, trying anything once, and working with kids. Teaching English is allowing me to gain patience, insight and a whole plethora of teaching tools in my arsenal of games and lessons. After teaching my language, I'm eager to keep practicing Spanish with my neighbors, new friends and perfect strangers. My days are long, often exhausting and very fulfilling!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hearing a number of bands live in concert and getting goosebumps. Driving around Norway, listening to the Amelie soundtrack and feeling like I was in a fairy tale. Arriving in Santiago, Chile with all my worldly possessions in a large backpack and a suitcase - and starting an adventure of self-growth and cultural discovery.
