ABOUT ME

My name is René Wijngaard and I am a 29 year old hydrologist from the Netherlands.
I have a lot of interest in mountains, the sea/ocean and other types of nature. I am often very interested in how the Earth works, especially if it is about the interaction of water with the environment.
About my self I can say that the terms honesty, hospitality and kindness are the main part of me. Although this is the main part I guess I still have to discover and explore a lot. This is what I see as one of the main aims of life. Further I like to know other people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed once and hosted surfers multiple times. In the mean time I also learned a lot of couchsurfers via the Innsbruck community. It is for me an excellent opportunity to learn from other people, cultures, etc.

兴趣

I have a lot of interests. My main interests are hiking, biking, movies, traveling, sharing time with friends by e.g. drinking a beer or coffee, being in nature, especially in the mountains or at sea.

音乐、电影和书籍

Movies: I watch a lot of movies. I have interest in several types of movies.
Music: Coldplay, Hurts, Amy MacDonald and a lot more. Genres I like are Top40 (Radio), Rock, Chillout, Jazz, Classic, World.
Books: I read a lot of books and articles for my study, so in my own time i do not spent much time reading books. I prefer magazine like the "Bergsteiger".

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Everest - Khumbu Trekking in Nepal. Something I would recommend. It is really amazing to be in the Himalayas surrounded by very high mountains. The same counts for the culture in this region.

Walking the Camino the Santiago over a distance of about 900 km.

We are here on Earth to discover own paths of Life. Everyone follows its own identical path and everyone tries to find a road or path that is most fitting with their wishes, feelings and expectations. However it is not possible to find this road/ path on your own. You need experiences, opinions, etc. from others to form your own path. It is therefore my aim to share my experiences (traveling and others) and to learn from others. Sometimes you find a message or other puzzle piece which can be an answer on the questions you live with.
