About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm uncomplicated, flexible, robust, often thoughtful, friendly and like to take some risks sometimes.
My life-style is DIY (Do it yourself); Making stuff yourself and have the experience yourself.
SOME GENERAL STUFF
I live in Delft, not Rotterdam or The Hague. Both are not awfully far (like a 10min tram-ride + 20mins of train from here), Delft is quite nice too and Utrecht is also reasonably nearby and very nice. Please don't send copy and paste requests or demand-requests. If you want to show me you read this, you can also greet me with "Moin René".
PHILOSOPHY
Ou. This is a small space for such a huge topic. So just a few notes:
I believe in the freedom of decision. You always have a choice (for instance everyone HAS time, but not everyone takes it).
I believe that a single one counts, someone has to start (vs this "What would it change, if I do xyz, but everyone else doesn't"-type thinking).
I always try to be honest and upright, especially with myself.
I don't face problems, only challenges :P
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING (CS)
I heard of CS, when first planning my journey through Asia, so I signed up and had a great time surfing on many couches and meeting many cool and interesting people. Having my own place now, I would really like to bring that great experience I had to some more people!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed on many couches in short time and I (hopefully) will see many more. I really fell in love with the project/website!
Awesome idea, awesome people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
*My 2 times 3-day trips in Norway (only tent, ski and other basic stuff which fits into a bag) where a great experience.
*Of of course the 10-month no-flight trip to south-east-Asia and back.
*Each stay in Tanzania
But there are a lot of these little moments, which are great and you can't really describe, as well.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think I'm quite good at teaching (my tuition students and school colleagues always said so).
programming (& other computer-stuff), philosophy, a lot of school-stuff (except languages), cooking, electronics...
I can also repair a lot of stuff :)
