About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living in Kassel, Germany. Finally finished my master's degree here, barely surviving the pandemic haha, and exploring the idea of working in Germany/Europe. Trying to find ways to enjoy the small things in life again and reconnect to my travel and community side!
ABOUT ME
I loved every bit that college had to offer and am so grateful to have been able to have the experiences that I did. After college,, I backpacked Europe for 9 weeks with my sister and by myself and had the most amazing trip of a lifetime and will take any opportunity given to go back! I definitely recommend going....do it! We went to Spain, Morocco, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, England, Northern Ireland and Ireland. It was AMAZING!
Now I am a bit more settled and understand I have a career to be accountable to, but I still have major desires to travel. I love meeting new people, having fun experiences and seeing new places so I like to find the balance between adventure and life. I moved to Kassel in 2017 and have been learning German and attempting to relatively integrate into a new culture and life.
I'll play soccer anytime, anywhere, love to dance, play a poker game, be outdoors, adore my family and friends, love to meet new people, grab a beer, have a chat...love it all.
Oh, and I'm a Red...the best kind of red....GO LIVERPOOL!!! :D
PHILOSOPHY
Life is not always easy, but don't take things too seriously all the time because you never know in this crazy world we live in today.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I learned about couchsurfing when I went on my trip to Europe this past fall. I loved the idea of having a community of travelers with simply traveling and loving to learn and experience new places and cultures in common.
I was able to couchsurf a few times in Europe and once in the states. I loved the people I met and had so much fun that I wanted to continue couchsurfing if possible on this adventure. I think it is a great service that is available and can really be a great experience if everything works out well. Hopefully I will be able to make this dream trip affordable as well as exciting. It is truly special to be able to see places I am able to stop in through the both the tourist's eye as well as the local's eye!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am relatively new to couchsurfing but thanks to my sister and some new friends I have made, I had the pleasure of couchsurfing a few times.
A couchsurfing party or gathering of couchsurfers led us (my sister and I) to a great night of surfing in Amsterdam!
Also, we got so lucky and had a blast surfing in a great house with a great group of people and had the best time in Bern, Switzerland.
Then in the states while exploring grad school opportunities, I stayed with some great girls in Colorado who showed me around for a few days.
Very grateful for the experiences I have had so far on couchsurfing, looking forward to more and hoping one day I can return the favor to future surfers.
