About Me

I hate to write about myself, but I will try to give you an impression of me.

At first I try to treat every person with respect. Friends and strangers have described me as respectfull, open, caring and relaxed person. So getting along with me, as long as you aren't a selffish, arrogant or irgnorant person won't be any problem. Furthermore I don't accept any sexist, racist, homophobic, antisemitic behavoir.

So far in my life I have lived the paradox of having stayed in the place where I was born, Bielefeld and Germany, without permanently moving to some other place, but having been to latinmerica for 3 long-term-stays now. For the first time I lived in Costa Rica as an exchange student from 2005 to 2006, then after finishing school and doing a voluntary social service I travelled Cuba, Mexico and Centralamerica for about 8 month in 2009/2010 and now I am staying in Mexico-City for an internship.

Form 2010 to march 2017 I studied Sociology and finished that with an Master degree. Right now I pass an internship in the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, a political foundation associated with the Left Party of Germany.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My roommate used to invite a lot of couchsufers, so I have a lot of experience as co-host. I always enjoy to get to know people and to offer help.
Surfing for myself has mostly been extremly positive. Meeting nice and interessting people and getting first hand information about the place you visit can't be compared to any backpacking-hostel-bubble-experience.
