About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience the world one culture at a time, in hopes of understanding the human nature and the human condition.

ABOUT ME

Right off the bat I'm independant and quick to help others. Secondly I'm an active listener, which I've been studying on and off for years and working on through awareness. Thus, I often times do better with people who enjoy talking, or telling stories. I'm pretty open, and avoid passing judgement.

I'm a deep thinker, a fast leaner, and dislike standing around. I'm capable of making conversation on all planes from small talk of local events and weather to ideals, philosophy, and society.

When it comes to travel, call me inexperienced. I've only been eight hundred miles from home, and never have flown on a plane. But I've met a diverse and mixed amount of people through outlets and connections, and from every person I've met, I've taken some lesson with me.

I read articles, so I figured it couldn't hurt to share one on the 20 Best Views in the World. Hopefully I'll get the chance to visit them all.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life in hopes of fully coming to recognize my place and purpose in this world. To take opportunity as it comes, with a normal amount of forethought given. I believe once I have come to understand my place and purpose, I will be able to achieve what I was set out in this world to, and will be at peace with myself and the life around me.

One of my most important guiding philosophies is that of balance. All things in moderation, with each part of your life harmonizing with another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Spreading the community is the number one way to participate. So I've told my friends I'm using couchsurfing and how it works. Luckily my mom has offered her spare accomadations to those who are couchsurfing, so long as I'm around. (She works too long of hours to entertain people)
This is how I particupate.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately I have yet to host or be hosted. Someday not far from now, though.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can't really say that there's a lot of things like books, movies, or music that's become my religion.
I do admit "The Giver" was a very inspiring book for me though. I think it had a very impressionable message for me at my young age when I read it.

I grew up on MTV, to be honest, and watched a lot of American Music Videos.

Of course there are great movies out there. I found Kung Fu Hustle to be quiet entertaining. Just don't expect me to fall hard for non-interactive entertainment venues.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

You may have better luck asking me specifically. Can't say my life has been full of interesting events, but each and every person has their unique story to tell, and I've never been much of a bragger ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

Personally I hope that I can pass on my abstract knowledge such as my attitude, my way of thinking, and my approach to life as I meet more and more people.
I do have some concrete knowledge though such as the insight into a diverse culture, social adaptation, the development of life, and the way individuals and societies grow. Even what it's like to see the world through many different eyes. Hopefully I can teach just by being myself.

I want to learn, to be able to say what I experienced with vivid clearity, to know the world outside of one culture, one belief.
