CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to make as many people smile each day as possible. For serious!
ABOUT ME
There are only a few things in life that interest me:
Love and Loneliness
Joy and Pain
Laughter and Tears
Cute babies and Cute Old People
Order and Imperfections
Strength and Vulnerability
Color and Grey Scale
Flowers and Weeds
Companionship and Solitude
Irreverence and Respect
Noise and Music and Silence
Savvy and Naivete
Knowledge and Faith
Light and Dark
Trust and Fear
...and perhaps a few others
PHILOSOPHY
Hehe! I have no mantra, really, but I do believe that the better your attitude, the better your life. Perspective is absolutely everything! And also that kindness is the most important thing in the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed, co-surfed, co-hosted, and attended many local events with the Cincy crew, such as Monday Night Potluck.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couchsurfing experience was with a friend to Austin. Our hosts had never hosted, but they were wonderful and hospitable. Everyone I have met through couchsurfing has a lust for life and I admire that greatly.
Interests
I love to sing..everywhere, all the time.
Drawing is a great form of meditation for me. I like to do portraits of fascinating faces best. I am lost to the world when I put pencil to page.
I like to write poems or journal. I'd like to write books of short stories some day.
Little kids: They are just these weird little creatures that soak up life like a sponge and experience everything in such a raw and honest way. Wouldn't it be amazing if we never lost that ability?

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy folk and bluegrass.I LOVE Feist! Fiona Apple is amazing. Ani DiFranco is also amazing. I love most music. Not a huge rap fan, but even some of it at the right time. The Kooks or Vampire Weekend always pick me up when I'm feeling blue.
I'm getting into audiobooks lately. Here are some of my favorites that I have read or listened to:
Wild by Cheryl Strayed, Nectar in the Sieve, Life by Keith Richards, On the Road, Interpreter of Maladies and Into the Wild (I like books about journeys for some reason ;)
Jurassic Park was a good listen! Animal Farm was a good read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved about 2400 miles and drove all the way over 5 days. Colorado, Utah and Oregon are so beautiful and can make a person realize what it means to be alive!
