About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To wonder as I wander.

ABOUT ME

Well, this is sort of a difficult question, isn't it?

I studied chemistry and sociocultural anthropology at the University of Iowa. I think that this says a lot. Everyone, no matter what he/she does, studies the world around him/her. There are just several different ways of looking at it. I think I chose a hard science and a social science because I like to think that is no right way to look at the world. There is only your way.

I'm starting an MPhil in Social Anthropology at Oxford as well...it's just the beginning of the next great adventure!

I also thoroughly enjoy doing several things that have little to do with chemistry or anthropology. Among them are playing the piano, singing, watching movies, and chatting with almost anyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Seeking out CSers wherever I go, even if I'm not surfing. Being as great a guest as I can be.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately, I haven't done as much surfing as I would have liked (but that should change soon!). I couchsurfed in Strasbourg for a few nights and my host took me flying. This is now the standard for what I expect from all couchsurfing experiences ;D .

Interests

Learning languages, music, history, cooking, SCUBA diving, camping, and traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once went waterfall climbing in the Amazon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play the pennywhistle and do calligraphy. I would love to learn how to play the bagpipes.
