I'm Rense, born and raised in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I like to meet new people, hear new idea's, new way's of thinking, but especially eat new kinds of food.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't know yet, still trying to find out by reading and talking alot. Until then, just be good to people and enviroment, enjoy your life and food and read a good book sometimes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Alot of good experiences, from great places and people where i stayed to people trying to help. Couchsurfing is more then just a free place to sleep.

Interests

Alot, but especially history, reading (fiction and non-fiction), politics, adventures, language, learning, music and Go (Weiqi, Baduk). Food and wine (and beer offcourse). Oh, and skateboarding for some reason.

Music, Movies, and Books

Again alot, but anything surreal, existentialist (Kafka!). But if not i like everything creative and original, Also I read alot of non-fiction (history, politics, psychology, sociology, science).
For music, I Like Dub and classical (Vivaldi) the most, but i like and listen to alot more. From Metal to Classical and anything in between.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day a flat tire saved my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Nothing in particular, but I love to learn and discuss aything and learn from it or tell my point of view or knowledge.

Maybe i can teach you how to play go, or appreciate dub music.
