I quit my job in September of 2014. Then I worked on a farm in California for a little while. Next I lived and traveled around India for a bit. After a few months back in the states I went to Spain for a couple of months. Now I'm back in the US and I'm hopefully moving to Detroit in January 2017.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've found traveling places and staying with someone who lives in the place is the best way to actually experience that community. I also love meeting new people and creating an ever increasing network of friends all over the world. So far every experience I have had, whether its hosting or surfing, has been insanely positive.

Interests

I went to art school and make art so I'm always down for a great new museum or art gallery. I love to hike and wander around mountains. I like perusing flea markets and garage sales (I collect found photos). Always love a good movie and a great book too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked up Mt. Etna in Sicily. Its an active volcano and it was the strangest landscape I've ever been in. Desolate and beautiful, like another planet.
