About Me
Hello there!
I am Renya, an undergraduate philosophy student at the University of Crete.
I was born and raised in Livadia and I have spent many years travelling around Greece - with my family, my friends, my school and alone. I have been to many places in Greece, but no other countries apart from Bulgaria when I was around 10 years old. I moved in Crete in 2017, due to academic obligations (as mentioned before, I'm studying philosophy in Rethymno).
I am currently looking for a new apartment, so I don't know if I'll be able to host people. WE can always discuss about it, though.
And a last note, as I have received many "flirty" messages from various guys here. A quick disclaimer; I am engaged for 6 months now. I have no problem meeting you, but I don't like being uncomfortable when you're trying to flirt with me. Please, avoid the flirting part because I am always happy to meet new people and it's a pity when you ruin it by making me feeling uncomfortable and being disrespectful. Thank you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been travelling way too much lately, and I've always loved meeting new people. I knew about couchsurfing before joining the community, and I thought it would be a great idea to join, as my current economic status is kinda bad and I can't afford paying for hotels every month that I travel for conferences etc. So, what's better than meeting new people and sharing lives for a day or two? :)
Also, my friends have told me that I'm quite a good host and I think that having new people around me for some days and sharing my apartment with them would be great!

Music, Movies, and Books
I am an avid fan of rock music, and especially of post punk and dark wave. My favourite bands are Madrugada, Joy Division, Bauhaus and Queen. I love film - all genres except horror. My favourite movies are The Pianist, Requiem for a Dream, The seventh seal and Kieslowski's Bleu. My favourite book is The Secret History by Donna Tartt. I am also a huge nerd - I love Star Wars and Lord of The Rings, while I enjoy reading comics. My favourite is Hellblazer and I'm currently reading Sandman. This might take a long time to finish, as I'm deep into studying Plato lately.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Apart from meeting my fiance, I consider my ability to travel alone from a very young age something really amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Almost everyone tells me that I'm really good at sharing stories - I'm a very open minded person and I literally have no problem sharing even the most personal and awkward story with my hosts and visitors! Also, if you are interested in ancient Greek philosophy, which is my major, I can teach you a thing or two.
