Overview
About Me
I'm a 41 year old man living in the beautiful Aotearoa (New Zealand) since 10 years ago. Born in Uruguay South America and always feeling like there was something else 'out there' that needed to be explored... (To really understand what I mean you have to be born in a third world country).
I'm curious by nature. I'm open minded. Self critic. I have a rather weird sense of humour and can handle quite well Irony and Sarcasm, and I like people who can have a laugh about themselves (and their culture). I like to share first hand stories from different cultures and I am lucky enough that my job has allowed me to host many people from all corners of the world (through Wwoofing and HelpX). I like to discuss about science (and some 'pseudo-sciences'...), religion, politics, history, art, technology, sociology, and almost every humanity related subject...
I spend my (almost none) free time reading, trying to learn piano, trying to learn French, trying...
I have a strong aversion towards bigotry, racism, misogyny, extreme fanaticism, radical nationalism.
And... I'm allergic to stupidity
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I didn't have the opportunity when I was on my 20's to explore the world and satisfy my thirst for first hand knowledge of other cultures and their people. During my late 30's I've been hosting hundreds of Wwoofers and HelpXers and that is the closest to traveling that I could get.
Now in my early 40's I have the possibility of making my traveling dreams a reality, visiting some of the most amazing people I've been hosting during those past years...
But... they are not evenly spreaded over the world ;-)... therefore, I would need a new host from time to time, while I am in those corners of the world where there are no friends (yet...)
