About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world, meeting new and interesting people, and experience all that life has to offer!
ABOUT ME
I am currently a student working towards my masters degree in public health, I also have two bachelors degrees from Michigan State University in social relations and policy as well as political theory and constitutional democracy. I have studied abroad in Italy (Tuscany, Florence, and Rome), Budapest, Hungary, and Istanbul, Turkey for a total of 1.5 years. I have traveled to Italy, Turkey, Canada, Mexico, England, France, Bulgaria, Hungary, Ireland, Germany, and Egypt and do not plan on stopping there!. I have met many amazing people from all over the world and hope to continue to do so. I love traveling (obviously), cooking, reading, going out, listening to music, watching movies, exploring, meeting new people, learning about different cultures, traditions and countries, playing basketball, lacrosse, and futbol, and generally enjoying all that life has to offer!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is too short to be anything but happy. Why not do all the things you've always wanted to do? You don't have to live your life the way others wish you to; everything you do is of your own accord. If you want to travel the world, go grab your passport. If you want to experience life the way people unlike yourself do, leave your world behind and get going. You have to get busy living or get busy dying. Your life is whatever you make it and can be as miserable or as incredible as you decide to make it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed in London, England and really enjoyed my experience. I also surfed in New Orleans for Mardi Gras and couldn't have had a more positive experience! I hope to host many people from around the world and continue to surf as well! I have also surfed in Munich, Brussels, Marrakech, Paris, and Dublin.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing is an absolute wonderful experience! Not only can you meet people from all over the world, you have a direct link to the local life and culture of the place in which you visit! It is a great way to truly experience life in places other than your own city/country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen and done some pretty cool stuff so far in my life, including an 18th birthday in Florence, Italy with a day trip to see the leaning Tower of Pisa, I have climbed cliffs in central Turkey, walking along the Danube in Budapest, lived in Istanbul, the only city on two different continents, climbed the Eiffel Tower, rode a camel through the Sahara desert to the great pyramids, drank Guinness in Dublin, rode a double decker bus through London during parliament elections, and had many other adventures. This is a list I hope to continue to add to throughout my life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a pretty decent cook who would love to make you a meal! I can cook a lot of different things and love learning new techniques.I also can offer English lessons as I am a native speaker and some conversational/basic German. I picked up a little Turkish while studying in Istanbul for 5 months and am currently learning French and hope to become (as much as possible) fluent. I hope to learn about many other cultures and to pick up as many languages as possible. I really enjoy traveling and would love to find a way to make it my career. I hope to learn about different ways of life and continue meeting and speaking with people different from myself.
