About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting the best possible education...normally I'd have something like 'change the world!' here, but people tell me I need to take it one step at a time more

ABOUT ME

I live, breathe, and on occasion, practice design =). I volunteer in the Board of European Students of Technology, in my local group in Zagreb. Currently I'm working towards bettering my education through an MA at a very challenging school...challenge being I have to first get into it XD.

Given the right set of circumstances, usually but not limited to, someone merely saying a phrase that happens to be a verse in a say, Disney song, I tend to break out into song in public. It hasn't yet been met with scorn thankfully.

Having finished my BA course at the university, I'm turning over a new leaf in the graphic novel of life. (A bit too early to call it a book I think)Things seem to be accelarating and changing very quickly for me, and I feel like I'm starting from the beginning again, so I'm going to stop writing now, see where the story goes and fill this in as I go along.

PHILOSOPHY

Resonate & Flow. That's how I'd like to live my life, I'm slowly working my way towards that goal.

Resonance has the ability to tear a system apart, it throws it into chaos, but chaos is just a lower form of order. I find it the most appealing metaphor for the 'can one person change the world' paradigm. I want to resonate at the frequency that will reshape the world for the better and consider my education the search for that 'frequency'.

And flow... a friend practicing his shiatsu skills once proclaimed I have an earth type personality, very rigid. While I think there are plenty of benefits to having a firm set of ideals, sometimes I wish I would let go a little more and just as the age old cliché goes, 'go with the flow'. I found travelling helps a lot in that, which is one of the reasons I'm trying to travel more.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies that make me think about the deeper story in question, or inspire me to do something good, or sometimes are just visually enchanting. I feel totally spoiled by the crisp image of movies from Hollywood, but their movies lack substance. Even so, I do enjoy comic book adaptations, when they turn out to be entertaining.

Listening to... well, I would say I really enjoy jazz and classical music... but then you'd go to www.last.fm/user/vodoun and at the very least consider that inaccurate. Statistics seem to say otherwise. Granted, the plugin hasn't been working for the past year, so it's inaccurate to begin wtih now. But I do really like jazz and classical music, despite what that says. Also, Disney tunes and rock operas.

Brian Stablefords emortality (not a typo =P ) series, anything and everything by Assimov, Philip K. Dick and Wililam Gibson so far, adore Pratchett's Discworld series, sue me, but I like Harry Potter, I grew up with it, started reading it long before the images made by imagination were replaced by CG graphics. Robert Pirsig's 'Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance', Erich Fromm's 'Art of love'...dunno, lately I've only been reading design magazines and books =/

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach practical usage in software like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Inkscape, Rhino, Solidworks I've been using 3D Studio MAX since childhood. I could help with some basic Croatian.

I would love to learn about local foods and cooking methods. I would desperately like someone to teach me how to practice meditation.
