About Me
Not so much to say, but so much to tell...
Well, I'm kind of not the typical Swiss guy. I usually don't wear watches and when I do, it's essentially Japanese brands (the kind with digits).
Ok, I love skiing, chocolat and cheese: I have to admit those Swiss habits are part of me. Apart from that, I have some other Swiss traits, I'm even-tempered, quality oriented and easily smiling.
Where I differ from that stereotype, is my open mind and my free thinking. I'm not afraid of controversy and contradictions. I'm an ecologist and a humanist. I believe in no God and have no master, but my own convictions. But everyone has the right to have it's own.
I was born in Geneva (Switzerland), studied at the University and spent almost 37 years there, where I used to do IT consulting, then I spent 3 months in South Africa to follow a field guiding course (an amazing experience). Afterwards, I moved to western France (Bretagne) and was about to open a small beer brewery, but I'm going to return to Africa soon (again as an IT consultant, but totally different conditions and setup).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think this can be fun and useful.
Never had an opportunity to share a decent couch (well, a couch would have been ok, but I'd rather have a proper bed to share), but time will come when I have some more space to share.
Interests
You can see some of my photographic work here : www.retosutter.ch
When I'm not at my desk, looking at my computer screen, photography is one of my favorite things. Skiing obviously is my favorite outdoor activity, but it doesn't come cheap and I didn't have so much time and money in recent years to slide down snowy mountains.
And then love have cooking... You should taste my cookies (and my humus and my pastas and my cheese specialties and my pizzas and my salads and my soups and and and...). I know how to cook meat and fish also, but I mainly dropped that stuff (it's bad for your karma, you know) ;-)
