ABOUT ME

I think most friends would describe me as goofy and laid back. I grew up in a small town in Iowa and most recently called Portland home. I work for a disaster response organization and have lived/worked in Fiji, Detroit, Haiti and Colorado. I love to explore new things and have lived communally on lots of occasions. Seeking cooperative living environment in the future with a houseful of warm, engaging people, shared meals love and laughter.

I enjoy learning and exploring and doing crazy shit as well as just hiding in a coffee shop and reading. I am highly employable and land work, but incredibly unemployable because I have quit jobs quickly for the next adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

i want more people to experience the inspiration, beauty and love found in haiti

(i wrote this a while back and, since it's still true, don't want to edit it. although, haiti is synonymous with developing world traveling, adventuring, exploring, taking risks and things like this)

I'm just getting back into couch surfing to meet amazing people while on a road trip!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only stayed with hosts a few times but had a great time each time. I've played frisbee and met at potlucks in Portland, good way to meet amazing people.

Sometimes I hike and get ridiculously off track and have to find my way back. I have a history of going all out and then sort of regretting it later (like having to hike in the dark)
