About Me
(Actually 27, in the military at the moment so Im taking a short break from CS. Feel free to message me though, might just be able to cook something up.)
I'm half Chinese, a quarter Indian and another quarter Spanish. I was born in Tarragona, but I don't speak Spanish nor live there anymore because I was relocated down south to Singapore when I was very young.
Nature is always very close to my heart. Wherever I go, I usually skip the tourist-y places and head straight for the mountains, lakes or forests. Singapore's very much a concrete jungle, but I would be more than glad to show you what tiny bit of nature we have. You won't be disappointed!
I'm also a thrill-seeker, so if there's anything that you guys can recommend, I will more than likely go ahead with it. Photography and music is always near me wherever I go, and I like to bring my skateboard with me whenever I travel in Singapore.
I'm currently trying to pick up Spanish again, and if you can teach me some, I would be so so grateful. Hopefully one day I will return to the beautiful city of Barcelona, with enough Spanish in my vocabulary to actually carry a proper conversation
(Also, if you are into photography as well and have instagram, I would be more than honoured to follow you. Just drop me a message! My username is the_sunkissed_traveller - No laughin! .)
PS: Just got back from the craziest road trip in Germany. Hit me up if you're down for some crazy travel stories
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Backpacking's one of my biggest hobbies, and I figured, what better way to travel than to do it while interacting with the new wonderful people I meet at every turn.
Interests
Sports, music, socialising, photography, pub crawls, dancing, hikes, reading, exploring, skateboarding, longboarding, beer-freaking-pong, basketball, football, basking and drinking tea :P
Music, Movies, and Books
So so so so many.
I love Quentin Torantino and Christopher Nolan.
Movies include, but are definetly not limited to: Django Unchained, Hateful 8, The Prestige, Inception.
Books - huge collection of Classics. Jules Verne, Charles Dickens, Jack London, Enid Blyton, the list goes on.
Music - I'm really into Indie. Bands like Whilk and Misky, Kopecky and Tame Impala somehow always seem to make my day with their wonderful music. Check out the song - Clap Your Hands by Whilk and Misky, you won't be disappointed!!
I'm also a huge fan of jazz and reggae. If you're into the latter genre as well, you ABSOLUTELY MUST listen to this man - Bushy One String. Search for his song, Chicken in a Corn on Youtube...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once did a handstand on a boulder at the edge of Mount Hutt overlooking the gorgeous landscape of New Zealand. A few seconds after I came down, a strong gust of wind swept it clean off the edge of the cliff. It was only later that I found out the unfortunate boulder had tumbled about 2,000 metres down to sea level.
Regardless of what transpired, my dream is to do the same thing with every mountain I scale in my lifetime, and to have someone equally crazy to do it with me!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you guys the slang of Singapore. I can also share with you guys the secret to photography, cooking Singaporean dishes, skating/longboarding, basketball/football, and hopefully start you off on the guitar as well. :')
What I Can Share with Hosts
My experiences, a warm smile, plenty of laughter, and most importantly, friendship.
(Also, I make pretty sick pasta and steak if that's up your alley! :D)
