CURRENT MISSION
A little self-exploration and a lot of world-exploration
ABOUT ME
I'm at an interesting point in my life, interesting to myself at least. I'm a semester away from graduating, and I'm faced with what will surely be my last summer of pre-career freedom, a career of which I'm still not entirely sure.
I'm an English major who tends to read more than is considered acceptable. I like to write as well, influenced by Bukowski, Hemingway and Fante, but not dictated by any of them.
I work on a farm when I'm not in school. There's something about being stuck in the middle of nature and working with my hands that my intellectual side can't seem to capture.
I like to learn, and find a distinct joy out of grasping a new concept.
I enjoy my fair share of beer, and find myself extremely outgoing. I can't seem to figure whether I'm an extrovert or an introvert, but being stuck in the middle seems to work perfectly fine.
An interesting conversation and beautiful scenery is all I need for contentment.
PHILOSOPHY
Accept the moment, it's the only reality we can be certain of.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've seen all kinds of movies from 70's grindhouse flicks to contemporary arthouse films. Listing what all I like would take too much space.
The same can be said for music. I listen to everything from Bon Iver to Miles Davis to tchaikovsky to Wilco to Kanye West, that I'm sure we could settle on something.
I read a lot. Raymond Carver, Vonnegut, Flannery O'Connor, "Blood Meridian," Bukowski, "Siddartha," "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance," Neitschze, "A Confederacy of Dunces," "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," Sherwood Anderson, Kerouac, "Walden," "Tao Te Ching," and anything by Dostoyevsky all stand out to me as worthwhile reading.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I find myself awestruck daily, I appreciate too many of the little things to be blown away by something bigger.
