About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get money, stunt, and stay glorious

ABOUT ME

Ahhh I suppose I'm a pretty average, normal sort of guy, but I make friends and meet people wherever I go in the world, so apparently I'm not a completely terrible human. This is comforting to know. I teach (sort of) at this "no rules" school out here in the sticks, but will be heading on to a gig in Egypt next year. I enjoy talking at length with anyone about anything, and think I ask good questions of people.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short: work while there's light, and make hay in the shade.

I'm trying to ensure that when I'm old and withered and incapable, that I will have no regrets. So far, so good.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, A River Runs Through It, Anything Woody Allen or the Coen Bros.

Music: The Beatles, The Books, Andrew Bird, Bob Dylan, John Mayer, Explosions in the Sky, Wang Chung,

Books: Steinbeck, Ray Carver, Jonathan Franzen, Jeffrey Eugenides,

These are the tops of long, long lists though. I deeply enjoy film, music, and literature. I was an English major in college, and a literature teacher in my former life back in the US.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I enjoy jumping off things into bodies of water, here's a summary: Snake River Falls, Valentine, Nebraska, USA - Cliff near Pula, Croatia - Cliff next to bar in Dubrovnik, Croatia - Cliff near Budva, Montenegro. All these times were tremendously life-affirming ventures.

Also amazing was watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers (American college football team) win the 1995 National Championship 62-24 over Florida.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to become a master of breakfast making, do mention if you're a sensei in this craft.

I also play a decent amount of guitar, so anyone who'd like to jam along (the school has many guitars to pilfer) is welcome.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
