ABOUT ME

I'm 28 years old, I'm married, and I live in Asheville, NC. I've worked third shift for the past five years. I have two dogs, a dachshund and a corgi. I normally hate cats but I have a cat who is awesome and her name is Chainsaw. I have two motorcycles. I like videogames and tabletop games.

I have a pretty bitchin' mustache that I grew as a joke because I thought it would be ridiculous, but then my wife and everyone I know ended up loving it. I had only planned to have it for a day or two, but I ended up keeping it. Its a pretty intense Lemmy from Motorhead-esque type number and I've noticed people seem to treat me with more a little bit respect than they did when i was baby-faced. Its weird.

I love traveling. I recently found out about the Mongol rally and I'm currently making plans to participate in 2014. Its something I always wanted to do and I didn't even know about it.

I'm an Enforcer (volunteer staff) at The Penny Arcade Expo, a bi-coastal videogaming convention that takes place twice a year. I've Enforced four PAXes and I'm currently looking forward to the next PAX Prime coming up on labor day weekend in Seattle.

PHILOSOPHY

I've recently learned that my life's philosophy is pretty much in line with Stoicism. I believe in maximizing happiness and kindness.

My favorite movie is Bubba Ho-Tep. My favorite band is Primus, and my favorite album is Anti-pop, but lately all I'm listening to is rap. "All 6's and 7's" by Tech9ne is whats in my car's CD player right now. My favorite author is Robert A. Heinlein and my favorite book is Time Enough For Love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At my wedding I performed an impromptu yet spotless rendition of "Gin and Juice", originally by one mister Snoop Doggy Dogg, with a full backing band while drunk on copious amounts of Sparx, the no longer legal alcoholic engergy drink. It's the coolest I have ever been.
