About Me

ABOUT ME

I think my description of my "current mission" says quite much about me, a bit pretentious maybe but I like those kinds of questions where you are allowed to answer in such a way.

How to describe oneself? I think I start with the simple way, writing about my interests: I love reading and writing, it's one of the most important things in my life. To explore myself and the world through literature is so rewarding. I write some short stories and poetry. Two hours a day I meditate, a Buddhist form of meditation called vipassana meditation. I've been doing this for a year and it has really changed me in a positive way. Before that I did kundalini yoga for a little more than two years. I still love it but don't prioritize it.

I lived in another city in Sweden for a year, with friends, working with medical care for elderly people and studying literature for one semester. I've also studied gender studies which was one of the most rewarding things I've done in my life. Really an eye-opener! I'm interested in politics but am not an completely convinced ideologist.

I really go for honest meetings with people, really trying to be free of prejudices and thus also free from prejudices about myself and the fear of what other people might think, say and do. I know I'm not the only one doing this but I think it's worth to mention because meetings between human beings are way too often based on shallowness, appearance and (though not obvious)ego centrism.

Interests

Spending time with my friends, boyfriend and family, of course. But I also love to spend time on my own. As already mentioned literature, music, meditation, walks, travels, meeting new people are important things in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Haha. What I could teach... Some basics of meditation. History of literature. Haha. Swedish. No, seriously, I don't know like that, I guess we'll find out. I think the biggest teaching and learing is in just meeting and talking.
