About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world, make friends and have a great time doing it.

ABOUT ME

I am a teacher working at an international school in Singapore. I'm friendly and I get along with just about everyone, of all ages. I love meeting new people and learning about new cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

Live in the moment, smile at adversity, and laugh every chance you get.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not very active on CS. I have had three hosts so far and all three were amazing! I have also been to a meet up or two. I look forward to meeting some more excellent people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about CS a while ago and loved the idea, but never gave it a chance. Then I met a self-proclaimed couch surfing advocate named Jesse in Selcuk, Turkey. We traveled together to Denizli where I was lucky enough to stay with her host, Yalcin. I had an amazing time! Then I followed her to Antalya, where again luck smiled on me and I was able to stay with her host, Eduardo. I couldn't imagine a better introduction to couch surfing. Thanks for getting me involved Jesse!

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I love them all, especially a good comedy: Old School, The Hangover, Caddyshack, etc.

Music: I appreciate just about everything from classical and jazz to hip hop and rock.

Books: I just finished the Milleniun trilogy and loved it. I also like fantasy, and just about anything by Paolo Coehlo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived overseas for eleven years, in Honduras, Costa Rica and Korea, taking full advantage of the travel and adventure opportunities there: surfing, SCUBA, white water rafting, zip-lines, sky diving, even climbing an active volcano. I have traveled to 45 countries and counting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach english. I can also teach beginning guitar (seriously, just beginning), and Spanish.

I love to learn about culture and language.

I like to share a meal and a bottle of wine.
