ABOUT ME

I am a Clinical Research Scientist currently working on Alzheimer's disease. I love traveling. However, we don't really get a lot of vacation days in the states so I don't get to travel as much as I would love to. I usually take one big vacation each year. I am going to South Africa with couple of my friends for the World Cup next year...I am really excited!!!

PHILOSOPHY

Whenever I feel sad or depressed for some reason, I always remind myself that there are others out there who are in much worse situation...that kind of makes me stop complaining. I also think traveling not only lets you experience different cultures it also makes you humble (especially if you are living in a developed country).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted couch surfers before. I also had some wonderful people host me. I went to the couch surfing weekly get together in NYC for the first time the other week and I had a great time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I knew about couch surfing for a long time. Some of my close friends have been hosting people from all over the world for a while. In the process I also met some fun and interesting people over the years. So at last I decided to get my lazy ass off the couch and join the couch surfing community.

Interests

I love dancing, eating (haha), going to the concerts/shows, playing sports, watching sports and off course traveling. I am a big Football (soccer) fan and sometime travel to watch matches.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kind of music..it actually depends on my mood. For example - before I go out to clubs/bars I will listen to hiphop, reggae, dancemix etc. I also love rock n roll and sometimes listen to Jazz.

Humm..movies..the usual suspect, old school, superbad, 12 angry men, shawshank redemption, lord of the rings, fight club, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind..I can keep on going.

Books - Catch 22, Lord of the flies, To kill a mocking bird, 1984, most John Grisham's books, Tintin (I was addicted to it when I was a kid).
