About Me
DEAR TRAVELERS:
I have put the time and effort into writing about myself in my profile, unless you don’t specify why specifically you want to stay with me, I will immediately reject your request. I have a busy professional life and I work from home, I’m very selective about who I let into my space.
From the land of crispy rice and great poets. Gentle, poetic, mystical and complex. A great listener who is t
I value kindness above all else, and that’s the quality that is most desirable to me at the moment.
Selling my soul to corporate America on a daily basis but consciously trying to keep my heart alive.
Into film, meditation, physical activities and performance.
David Lynch, Ram Dass and Gabor Mate are my spirit animals.
Couchsurfing has been a big part of my life connecting me to beautiful souls and I find it a great medium to bring people together.
When I’m not traveling I’d like to see travelers who want to bring the spirit of traveling to my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think every journey is the search for oneself. I'm looking for inspiration therefore I want to meet as many new people as possible and expand my experience of life. So far I had amazing experience doing couchsurfing, heard many new stories and met so many people that touched my soul.
Interests
Humans and their stories, Watching the sunset, feeling my legs in the sand, drinking beer and watching football, making people laugh, sniffing new books, taking long walks in the city, long distance running, making food for people, watching thought provoking movies, sleeping under the sun, doing yoga, drinking coffee in the afternoon, feeling the wind on my face, looking at the clouds, reading peoms, chopping onions and vegetables, swimming in lakes and oceans
Music, Movies, and Books
- Books
When I asked about my favorite book of all time usually my Answer is "Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera. I can't list my favorite books here but here are some of my favorite authors.
Haruki Murakami, George Orwell, Gabor Mate, Faulkner, Mark Twain, Alain De Botton, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Franz Kafka, Vladimir Nabokov, Jose Saramago, Kurt Vonnegut ,Sadegh Hedayat and many more.
As much as I love reading novels, I love to read poems. I think they are the reflection of unknown parts of our brain.
- Music:
There are some musics that I listen to for just the sense of Nostalgia. I grew up listening to Queen and PinkFloyd which till this day have remained my two favorite bands of all time. I love to listen to anything that stimulates my senses, invoke emotions and take me inside myself.
- Movies:
Passion for cinema has been a big part of my life, from the child who was trying to buy films in Iran's underground market to a lonely adult self in independent cinemas, I've lived with films. Just like books I can't list all the favorite films but here are my favorite directors.
Stanley Kubrick, Abbas Kiarostami, Ozu, Werner Herzog, Kurosawa, Jim Jarmusch, Krzysztof Kieślowski, Andrei Tarkovsky, Inarritu, Martin Scorsese, Asghar Farhadi, Maren Ade, David Lynch,
