One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most spontaneous time of my life was when I first discovered Couchsurfing. While studying abroad in Amsterdam, NL, I was able to really see the benefits of human kindness through surfing. My experiences included meeting Aiste and Simona in Vilnius as well as staying with Guoda in her family's home. Never have a I felt so welcomed as I did in Vilnius, LT, by "complete strangers" no less.

I also was able to host just but once while residing in the infamous Stavangerweg container city in Amsterdam's port area. Clemens was a student from Munich who I helped host while he was backpacking across Europe. While many of my friends back home thought I was crazy for surfing in the first place, I felt very comfortable opening my home to a guest in need. I hope the same will happen for me as I hope to once again utilize Couchsurfing.
