About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Helping people that I meet through life's travels

ABOUT ME

Here is a CouchSurfing article that was written about me: http://thehollytree.blogspot.com/2008/09/couch-surfing-could-it-be-way-to-peace.html

Read the other stuff to get a feel for who we are.

PHILOSOPHY

I am committed to helping people with their travels through life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are looking at how we can help others by more than opening our home up to good people.

We support our son and his efforts to host an English as a second language group for Russian college students that stay in Virginia Beach for the summer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had a blast with Couch Surfing. We've had people from all over the world come stay with us. Many of them are now friends that we cherish and remain in touch with.

We're looking forward to meeting more interesting people.

Interests

Surfing warm water waves, sailing, diving, skiing, travel and helping people. I am interested in jet skiing, cruising on our friends' 42 foot catamaran in the islands, bonfires on the beach and eclectic people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I (Rick) personally like non-fiction adventure & biograhical exploration. Cherri likes "who done it" and historical stuff.

We enjoy laughing till we cry and reading stories that inspire us to help others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have some incredible stories to share. God is constantly blessing us with something new and amazing.

This is an amazing couchsurfing story: http://thehollytree.blogspot.com/2008/09/couch-surfing-could-it-be-way-to-peace.html

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught thousands of people on how to use computers for design work. I am passionate about helping others.

We are learning all of the time and are open to teaching and learning at the same time.
