ABOUT ME

After spending 18 years living in large urban areas and working in corporate environments, I returned to my rural roots to learn how to live a life in harmony with nature. I'm still learning. Since 2007 I've been restoring Stonefly Acres, a 100 acre property that had been battered and abandoned and have been converting it into a food forest. In addition to vegetable gardens, I've so far either identified or introduced over 100 varieties of edible perennials. Being a creative type, my long term goal is to turn the property into an eco-friendly retreat for writers and artists.

PHILOSOPHY

Secular humanist, adaptable to change and working on accepting impermanence. I strive to live in complete harmony with nature.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met many couch surfers that friends were hosting, I've hosted couch surfers and have been a couch surfer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed extensively while touring the American Midwest with folk duo Sweet Wednesday during the summer of 2012. We covered 14,000 miles in 3 months and were very grateful for couchsurfing hosts who welcomed us into their homes.
