About Me

Hi! 🤘🏼

My name is Romain, a French traveler currently on a long-term adventure across Asia. After spending five months doing seasonal work as a manager in an eco-friendly hotel in Switzerland, I decided it was time to take a step back, slow down, and explore the world in a more meaningful way. This journey is my opportunity to discover Japan and Southeast Asia while learning from the people I meet along the way.

I consider myself an easygoing, curious, and respectful person, with a strong appreciation for human connections. I enjoy meaningful conversations just as much as light, spontaneous moments — whether it’s sharing a home-cooked meal, walking around a neighborhood, listening to music, or simply chatting over coffee or tea. I adapt easily to different environments and lifestyles and genuinely enjoy discovering how others live and see the world.

Traveling, for me, is not about ticking boxes or rushing from place to place. I prefer slow travel, taking the time to feel the atmosphere of a place, understand its culture, and connect with people in an authentic way. I’m naturally curious, open-minded, and always happy to exchange ideas, stories, and experiences.

I’m also someone who values simple pleasures: cooking together, laughing over small things, enjoying silence when it feels right, or sharing moments without needing a big plan. If we’re on the same wavelength, let's hang out 🌻

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

or me, Couchsurfing is not just about a place to stay — it’s about people. One of the main goals of this trip is to discover each country through the eyes of those who live there year-round. I love hearing stories, learning about local habits, and sharing perspectives from our different cultures.

I enjoy cooking together, going out for a drink, exploring a city or nature spots, or simply spending time at home talking about life. I always take good care of my host’s space and feel grateful to be welcomed into someone’s home. I’m more than happy to help with daily life: cooking, cleaning, shopping, or anything else that feels natural. I will treat your place with respect, care, and good energy 🧹
