Wandering through different city cultures, finding oddities, new food experiences, and making music with people.

Spending mornings bike riding and gardening, spending afternoons drawing and taking photos, spending evenings listening to strange records and making weird music.

Visiting and revisiting architecture, seeing old friends in new places.

I especially like films by Hitchcock, Wong Kar Wai, Errol Morris, and Hayao Miyazaki. I would like to watch more Ingmar Bergman and Wim Wenders. I am a sucker for crappy Chinese comedies.

Music by Can, Parliament, Sun Ra, Clutchy Hopkins, Gram Parsons, George Harrison, Teresa Teng, Erkin Koray, T-Rex, David Bowie, The Kinks, and others, but generally, I enjoy a mish mash of 60's and 70's rock, psych from all over the world, folk, funk, a bit of noise and free jazz.

Edward Gorey, Michael Chabon, Margaret Atwood, Italo Calvino, Orhan Pamuk, and architectural manifestoes.

Spending an evening at the ancient Allianoi spa with friends, swimming in the natural hot springs, listening to the frogs and bats around us, drinking Efes.

I would really like to share recipes, and learn how to make different kinds of food.
