move to Northern Germany is completed 08-2019: living "in" the North sea ... well, on an island. ATTENTION: another move occured. I'living know in EUTIN (between Kiel and Lübeck)
ABOUT ME
I'm a dreamer who stands with both feet on the ground.
I like to engage me in interesting projects and to be with others
PHILOSOPHY
It's you who has to put the own chair out of the shadow into the sun, if you want to change something.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In the first years I received visitors in my modest student room. Since being mother I requested couches with goog experiences, too. I'm participating for ten years now. My couches stood in Bremen (Northern Germany), Quetigny/Dijon (France-Burgundy), Müllheim and Buggingen (southern Black Forest) - and now it is on an island in the North Sea. I'm fond of the variety CS allows - personal situations and reasons for using CS are quite individual and changing.
WHY I PARTICIPATE
2004 after having completed my firts studies I made a journey with my bicycle - from Cologne (Germany) to Seville (Spain) in autumn. I didn't know CS and originally I planned to sleep outside just with the sleeping bag, but it was too cold and wet, so I started knocking every evening on a door of a friendly looking house and ask for a simple possibility to sleep a bit protected (like garage, bike-cellar). Mostly I was finally invited to sleep in the house in a guest room or the like and we spend the evening with exchange. It worked well and at last the contact to all my spontan-hosts was - in addition to the view of the blue sky 3 months - the most significant experience. To some of them I still have a lose contact. - It's a really good way to get close to a culture by "living" in a ordinary house, sharing their normal food and rhythm of life and so on - I can't imagine a better one - for that I'm positive about CS idea.
Interests
I enjoy being in the nature. I like music specially when it's played directly (when I was younger I played flute traverse and sang in a choir). I'm formed in dramatics.I like to be together with others. Leisure time is a difficult contruct in a life as a single-mother.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can't stand violance in films and books, so finally I end up with tragicomedy stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling, experiencing nature and human bonding and being mother.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a talent dealing with children from 0-12 years, and a lot of experiences with them. I'm also experienced with old people (80-90 years old). I'm good in supporting life or work in groups. I can motivate others I've studied to teach amateurs to play theatre. I can read texts for logical coherence. I can find fundamental questions and be critical. I can "work", I do it with a lot of joy - even help to tile a roof! I can deal with caotic situations and basical changes. I've experiences in using a bike in every-day-life alone and with a (little) child, also with rain and low temperature. I'm used to travel with a child a whole day in a train and also to use just public transport.
What I Can Share with Hosts
That depends on the persons and situations. Maybe I'll basically need/give just a bed and a "home", maybe we ca share more time - often both worked finally fine and also together.
