Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Conquer the seemingly indecipherable code that is Andalú
ABOUT ME
I am Neurobiology a student at University of California, Davis who’s hobbies spread the gamut from academic to ridiculous. I enjoy human physiology, speaking German, traveling, creative non-fictional writing, riding and working on bikes (my particular attractions are towards fixies and pixies), playing competitive Ultimate Frisbee, singing along with mediocre pop music (especially T-Pain and Chris Brown), “recycling” other people’s discarded food, finding ways to get adrenaline rushes, initiating cook-offs and harassing my roommate Big Dave.
PHILOSOPHY
Take advantage of every opportunity that you can. Life is an accumulation of experiences - how will you fill yours?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
There are so many times that I have found myself in a city knowing that there are perfectly nice people with couches that aren't being used. Unfortunately, there is no preexisting way to tap these unused resources like there are with others, like sticking your thumb out to hitchhike and pick up a seat that would otherwise just be empty. Why not host a random traveler, get to know someone new and shake things up a little bit? And if you're traveling, why not save some money, meet an awesome new person and live a little more raw than you might have otherwise? The world is a playground and this is another way to take advantage of it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had difficulties connecting with people, mostly because I've surfed in some of the most popular cities during high tourism season. But when I do get together with people, it's been nothing but marvelous.

Music, Movies, and Books
If you give me a David Sedaris book or any Harry Potter in Spanish, good luck trying to get me to do anything else.
My musical tastes are nebulous. Right now I'm trying to find the perfect Sevillana.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've danced Flamenco in a cave in the mountains behind Granada, Spain with a bunch of gypsies. It was one of those moments where you ask yourself - how, in the course of my life, did I end up here? It was also one of those moments that you would trade for nothing in the world.
