Just moved to Virginia to be closer to work. I love my job! I've lived in the D.C. area most of my life. I love road trips and traveling in general. Movies, books, albums, all stories are important.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love CS and every surfer I've met thus far! I couch surfed during a summer road trip around the country, coast to coast.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Summer 2010, I took a road trip from Baltimore to San Francisco and I had the great fortune of couch surfing a lot of the way. There are really some amazing people out there who love to show new people around and make sure they have a lot of fun.

Anything that gives me a new perspective.

Movies: Annie Hall, Punch-drunk-love, There will be blood, Nights and Weekends, The Puffy Chair, The 400 Blows, Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind

anything put out by Pixar, Coen Bros, Paul Thomas Anderson, Spike Jonze, Woody Allen.

I'll listen to pretty much anything live.

Music: My current favorite bands change pretty regularly...at the moment: The Beatles, Josh Ritter, Noah and the Whale, Tv on the radio, Monsters of Folk, Wu-Tang, The New Pornographers, Iran, The Hold Steady, Arcade Fire, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Jack's Mannequin, Something Corporate, Kanye West, Childish Gambino.

Books: The Unbearable Lightness of Being, 1984, The Count of Monte Cristo, Franny & Zooey, anything by Jonathan Ames, Bukowski, Woody Allen, Fitzgerald.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove across the country by myself over the summer of 2010 and it changed my life. I did another cross country trip with one of my best friends in 2012 and it had a similar effect. Lesson: I need to take more road trips.
