I am an explorer at heart. A creator, illustrator, sketcher, traveller, origamist, pianist and vocalist from the colourful and vibrant land of India. A true enthusiast, I love to explore culture, languages, countries, people all around the world. I have travelled to a few places abroad, spreading across different regions, cultures and communities. I have intensely travelled in my own country, spanning the serene beaches and cultural communities in the south, through the plateaus in the midwest, to the beautiful landscapes of the Himalayas; from the vibrant Rajasthani and Gujurati communities in west to the untouched regions in the east. I, myself am originally from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, but I live in Pune, a metropolitan city close to Mumbai. I am in Valenciennes, France for a year for my Design studies. I also take immense interest in trekking, backpacking, outdoor sports and carpentry. I meditate, and am on a journey to explore the spiritual journey of life. Practicing Yoga, Vipasana Meditation, Holistic Lifestyle I have been able to explore something different at a very tender age.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music genres span a large spectrum including, Indie, Indie Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Alternative Rock, Folk Music (African, Arabic, Indian, Tibetan, Latin), Naturally Generated Acoustic Folk, Indian Classical, Western Classical and experimental Music. About Movies, I like art films, Thrillers, Suspense and Psychological Thrillers and Dark Comedy. I am an avid reader. I don't stick to a particular genre, but mostly I like to read Thrillers, Suspense, Dark Humor, Satire, Historic Fiction, Spiritual, Philosophy and anything interesting that comes my way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently did a Vipassana Meditation Course. I had to give up reading, writing, talking to people, making eye contact with people, touching people, expressing in any form, technological devices for a span of 10 days, and had to give up all worldly pleasures to live like a Buddhist monk. I had to practice meditation for 10 hours a day and had to try to be as close to nature. It helped me to introspect, spend time with myself, face the bitter truth of reality and be close to nature. In the process i could uproot the toxins in my mind and start living a peaceful and healthy life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to add value to someones life, by sharing my experiences, my culture, my language, love and care to whomever I meet. A curious learner at heart, I would absorb anything positive, new and energizing that comes my way. I would love to teach art, origami, yoga, sketching, a language I'm fluent in, anything pertaining to Indian culture, to the hosts and would love to share my interests with little kids.
