ABOUT ME

i'm a twenty-two year old college student finishing up my last semester at wesleyan and trying to figure out what to do next with my life! i studied abroad in prague during the spring of 2010 and it was incredible in every way possible. i love to travel and experience new things/food/cultures, and i enjoy meeting new people. i've spent half my life in korea and the other half in the u.s. so i have three homes: seoul (where my family is), connecticut (where i go to school), and michigan (where my best friends live). i love music - i've played piano for ten years (though i stopped once i got to college) and i'm a huge fan of mash-ups (google "DJ earworm" if you're interested!), and i am also a fan of cardigans, writing letters, ice cream, hiking, museums, and public transportation, among other things. i'm learning how to cook and i love. to. eat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i hope to meet some cool people while participating in CS and see new cities with new friends! i've couchsurfed twice while i was in europe and it was a great experience both times.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i found out about couchsurfing through a friend who i met in the hills of montana (that is a story for another time) and surfed in london and aix-en-provence. both were wonderful and made me realize that the couchsurfing project is unique and awesome! i also have other interesting stories from traveling, like why i lived in bunk beds in montana for 11 weeks or sharing a small hostel room in krakow.

Interests

movies: rush hour, the dark knight, INCEPTION

music: coldplay, jack johnson, nsync, among others. i like everything from hip-hop to classical music. and i love mash ups!

books: harry potter, the tao of pooh, anything by bill bryson and david sedaris, and many many more.

Teach, Learn, Share

hmm. i'm a religion major so we could talk about william james or the book of jerry falwell (or something in between). i know lots of random facts (for instance: did you know that sugar cubes, contact lenses, and plastic explosives were invented in the czech republic) and i always like to learn new things.

i am open to learning about pretty much anything. i am going to be a student in some shape or form for the rest of my life.
