ABOUT ME
I like experiences more than material things, and when I travel, I like to focus on the experiences. My favorite memories while travelling has been the conversations I had with random people from around the world. I jump around from thinking I know everything to realizing I know nothing. Quality is greater than quantity; I'd rather have one GREAT beer than get drunk on 20 shots.
As geographical info goes, I have lived almost primarily in the LA/OC area in Southern California. However, I often feel like a nomad, because I moved around a lot, which leaves me always antsy if I stay in one place for too long. I really enjoy travelling around to new places and learning about different cultures, people, music, food, you name it. I've been called a cynical idealist, if that makes any sense, and I hope for the best and prepare for the worst. I guess that is also my travel motto, too!
PHILOSOPHY
Embrace Ignorance, Thirst for More.
People often get entrenched in our own thoughts and opinions. Instead, the better approach is to embrace ignorance and accept that not all of our opinions, if not the majority of them, are not completely correct. Rather than focus time and energy on what I already know, I hope to thirst for more knowledge, more perspective, and more experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As of now, I am a surfer. However, I would really like to host once I have a place that's solely my own.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
People are so helpful! I've had hosts save me at the last moment from being homeless, show me their city, and be great company. Awesome experience.
Interests
I'm extremely open to new experiences, especially when it comes to food, though I will 99% of the time not eat mushrooms. I freestyle rap, write slam poetry, enjoy all types of music, though hip hop is my usual go-to. Most importantly, I really enjoy conversations. My best memories often revolve around late-night talks on anything ranging from the historical progression of heavy metal to a discussion on fancy wine and which wine goes best with what food. Politics is another favorite topic choice, and I like challenging my own thoughts and opinions by hearing from those I agree and disagree with!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I backpacked alone through Europe for a month, and I got to meet a lot of awesome people and do a lot of cool things. I partied with French military members in Paris at a fire station, drank the best beer in the world in Brussels, and got lost in the alleyways of Venice.
