I think I'd like to learn as much as can from the world and it's nomads.

ABOUT ME

I like tripping around the world learning, teaching and gathering up people. I feel like I can learn something from anyone who has a minute to have a conversation. Plus I'm addicted to laughing so I try to find things that induce it in me and others.

My hobbies are cooking and feeding people (I volunteer for various charities), music and movies, art (i paint and draw), science and robotics, languages and culture. People of the world have been very kind to me and I like giving back whenever I can.

PHILOSOPHY

We are here to learn how to be better people. Live life, be humble, study hard and learn to be our best selves.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now I am travelling, but I wanted to meet others who are on the same track. Eventually I want to offer my couch to people who need it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have friends all over the place. Some are open to having strangers ride their couches, others just allow me to do it. But all of them are willing to help if someone gets into a situation.

Interessen

I was a fish in my last life. I like beaches, pools, lakes, rivers, scuba, surfing, tubing, kayaking, etc. I love to cook and the eating part isn't that bad either. But I like cooking for lots of people, setting a beautiful table, picking the perfect wine, etc... I like movies and music, live shows, museums, libraries, road trips and roller coasters. But my friends will tell you that my favorite thing to do is to get people to tell me a good story...Fiction is good but real life is better still.

And oh I forgot, being a kid at heart means a food fight isn't out of the question. (But don't worry, I clean up after myself too.)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I am a huge mediaphile! Ernest Hemminway and Henry Miller are my men. Jane Austen and Mary Shelley are some of the ladies. Loved 100 years of Solitude and Perfume by Suskind. But there are a lot of in betweens. I like modern art and graphic novels, pop music and the classics, Juenet & Caro and Simpson & Bruckhiemer, muscle cars and dainty shoes, staying in and going out....I think you can get the picture: Whatever's clever!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I've seen rivers flood up beneath my tree house, albino dolphins swim by, childbirth, ceremonial weddings, irodescent worms having sex...if my eyeballs were cameras I think I could knock your socks off.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Be open to living, but remember when you hang yourself out there you're likely to bump into the good and the bad. So the best thing is to keep your head up and be ready for the good, while having your feet solidly planted to absorb the blows from the bad.
