About Me

I live with my beautiful girlfriend Ashley. I like to travel. She likes to travel. We have dogs.

In our spare time, we are trying to convert an old box truck into a stealthy travel home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I've had so many great experiences through it, I would be a fool not to be.

I used Couchsurfing to a fair extent many years ago while traveling around on my motorcycle and having a good 3 years adventure.

I've been in and out of Dallas for about 4 years, working at a motorcycle rental business and tinkering in my free time at the Dallas Maker Space (look it up).

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Books? What the hell are books? Most of my reading material is stuff I browsing through for specific educational information pertaining to whatever project I am currently tinkering with

Music - pretty much everything except extremely angry or depressing stuff and the low quality "image pop" that seems to rule the radio today. My favorite genre is Funk though. James Brown is the greatest of all time.

Movies- too many to list

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up right on the coast near NASA. Seen hundreds of rockets hurled explosively into space. I guess that's pretty cool.

Did the motorcycle nomad thing for a bit more than 3 years straight with nothing more than what I could fit in 3 backpacks. Learned a lot about living more with less.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm the definition of the jack of all trades so I can teach a thing or two about quite a lot. I'm currently teaching myself basic programming and web design.

Things I would like to learn more about are sailing, building with earth (eg adobe, cob), making passive income online, how to start a charity organization.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm pretty handy, so if there is something in need of fixing or fabricating around the house, I can help with that.
