ABOUT ME
So, I'm from the coast of North Carolina in the States an I've been living abroad for some time. I've lived in Colombia, Ecuador, Saudi Arabia, Istanbul, China, and I'm now living in Japan!

PHILOSOPHY

18 Rules for Life in the New Millennium by the Dali Lama
The limits of my rights extent to the borders of another person's rights.
Until you can unbiasedly judge yourself, don't judge anyone else.
Anger harms the soul.
Evolutionary biologist Stephen Jay Gould once wrote, "I am somehow less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops."

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm not new to couchsurfing, but can't say that I've followed the normal paths. I've never kept friends on my profile, nor have I bothered to figure out how. I've hosted a few people and I've only stayed with one person. It was great though, so I feel I should share the experience.

Travel of course and anything that has to do with saltwater.

Music, Movies, and Books

anything but pop, old Arabian, and vienato.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The 6000 year old foundation of an Eastern Arabian fort built to protect an oasis/well is one of the coolest places I've seen. You could find ancient pottery pouring from the ground!
The Galapagos, my Mecca.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an experienced English teacher, so no worries there, but I also enjoy cooking, diving, and other saltwater activities. Oh, and I'm a big fan of sitting in a comfortable home, cooking good food, drinking (etc.), and talking. I can't say I cook one particular style, but I can cook some pretty good stuff--usually a mix of cuisines that I've picked up.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a drink, I can cook (but hope to share ideas), I can share stories, maybe help your English if you so desire, I can clean, and any other physical activities you might need a hand with.
