HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i'm currently in Alaska as a Wwoofer and tourist, here til late October. I just finished a month volunteering out on a homestead right on Lake Iliamna! Amazing doesn't even begin to describe my experience. My heart is swollen with gratitude for my time spent there and the generosity and inclusiveness that was shown to me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

once, i met a couchsurfer while i was couchsurfing and we became grand friends! i enjoy being a helpful houseguest. it makes me uncomfortable to be catered to as a "guest." i like being included as a part of the family. :) i hosted a few people back when i was living in duluth but my roommates did most of the entertaining; i had just met a boy so I was wrapped up in other things....

Interests

connection and interconnection, animal folks, swimming in lakes and rivers, sunshine, storms, spanish, live music, dreams, stories, herbal medicine, wild food, exploring the woods by following animal trails, drinking live water, writing letters and making cards with pressed flowers and leaves, making fire, making cordage, building shelters, diy, nvc, saunas, sweet dogs, joking around, cooking and baking, getting together for dinner, climbing trees and hilltops, riding bikes, Scrabble, coffee, tea, gardens, watching the ocean, everyone's truth... i look at and listen to birds a lot.

i know woodsy stuff so i might be able to show you something about whatever it is you want to know (like how to process an animal carcass.)

i like sharing snacks, clothes, and stories.

chances are, you will have more to teach me, the couchsurfer, as i will be new to your environment. also i wanna learn more about tracking and fancy knot-tying.
