ABOUT ME

I hate traveling and I'm really closed minded. I'm not interested in any other cultures and I don't want to meet anyone. I'm a tea bag wav'in republican who thinks maaa hero Mitt Romney will help the government to control those unruly female wombs and git dem unruly vaginas into governent control Y'ALL!!!! :p I'm a social work student, I love to paint or look at paintings. I believe in living life to its fullest and not wasting it, love adrenalin rushes, Im a vegan animal rights activist and I long for a world where the violence and murder and torture of animals ends, don't worry I wont preach to you about it and make you feel bad if you eat meat so don't be scared of me! Just please spare me the worn out diatribe about lions unless you want to be a carnivore, grow a mane and live in the savannah or misguided nutrition advice and how i'm a carrot murderer and we'll get along fine. Im a feminist and I'm into conservation and sustainable living,and have often had thoughts that not killing the planet would be a nice idea, but unfortunately the oil and coal companies dont agree with me. I have a huge thing for tropical rainforest which has lead me deep into the Amazon more than once,I think its the most magical thing in the world, I want to experience everything (well almost everything...)! I have been reported as rather eccentric, crazy, full-on and a total day dreamer (my nickname was dreamboat since age 5)Sometimes I talk too much and too fast Im trying to work on that, you should talk over me if you are trying to get a word in, or tell me to shut up - I wont be offended! I need to be told to be quiet at times, really I do cos otherwise ill talk until my mouth falls off - you should keep the gaffa tape handy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I lived in the Forest Hostel - a bohemian-student-hippie-couchsurfing-travelling-circus-commune that is always open to couch surfers (and other assorted forest friends); usually several or several hundred at a time. Now im a bit more of a mellow old grandma and live in a quiter house, we like to have a few wines and yell at the politicians on television. I host whenever I can but my housemates wont let me all the time, but if i cqnt host ill always meet for coffee or show you around the tourist attractions or put on a ridiculous hat and do some kind of a jig and swing of the story bridge on trapeze or something of the such

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Living in the forest for a year and hosting at least 200 surfers, including the squatters next door, the tree houses, tent surfers and the couches on the roof, "global freeloading" (similar idea to CS) in Peru and Argentina, tractor rides in a Nicaraguan farm and all kinds of lovely hosts and guests!!! made some wonderful friends that I still am in touch with.

(i like rainbows).

Music, Movies, and Books

Any movie with Johnny Depp, pirates of the Caribbean is one of my favourites cos i always wanted to be a pirate with an eye patch and a pegleg., I also like arthouse films and Tarantino and Trainspotting was always a favourite.
I love Spanish Guitar and Classical music- Mozart, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Chopin, I love Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Jamaican reggae in General, Simon and Garfunkel, Jimmy Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Led Zeppelin Deep Purple and Pink Floyd, folk, soul, aussie hiphop, psybreaks, minmal and techno, psytrance, dubstep, Norah Jones, Portishead, soul. And I listen to neo-classic-old-skool-prog-house-hop-dub-lub-bub-nub-glitch-drum-punk-hipster-bop-wobble; But you probably never heard of it cos you're not trendy enough :p.
books - Some of my favourite writers: Jack Kerouac, Isabelle Allende, Anais Nin, Ernest Hemingway, Simone De Beauviour, Joyce Carol Oates, Kate Millet, Anne Summers, Barry Unsworth, I love a lot of books and if i typed them all my fingers would fall off.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

worked on a project in the Amazonin Ecuador with an indigenous community that included the experience of getting lost in the dark in a dugout canoe in the Amazon river in the rain..watching a shamanic healing ritual with a sick boy and trying ayahuasca

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English if you need help, and would love help with Spanish (casiliano), I love cooking for people and Ill do the dishes - I Like doing things for people. umm.. I can tell you anything you want to know about Australian politcs but that will probably bore the absolute shit out of you... I also know almost every depressing sociology statistic from the ABS including drug abuse, homelessnes, violence toward women and sucide rates but that might depress the absolute shit out of you. I would love to learn cooking from your country (if its vegetarian) and if you can teach me fire twirling, guitar or help me with pool I would love you; I can paint your portrait and give you my couch and a hug and make you food, and i can teach you to be an tree higging hippie activist that actually gets the pollies to listen to you occasionally, I help run enviro campaiging workshops so come along if you like.
