About Me

ABOUT ME

Hello!
My name is Rhidian and I am a student paramedic. I am currently in my last year and am trying to fit in as much travel in between semesters as I can. I want to become a paramedic firstly so I can help people but also because I like the excitement of emergency. I want to be able to use my job to travel around the world and learn as much as I can about the people that live in it. In 2013 I did a big round the world trip and I cant wait to do something like that again. Traveling has given me an insight into different cultures but a big dream of mine is to live in another country for a few years so I can fully immerse myself in one.

I don't really know what to say, it feels strange advertising myself. I guess I can be a bit quite until I get comfortable. I really like to laugh and joke around. I am partial to a beer or 10 and love to dance (usually after the 8th beer). I'm easy going but like to have a semi structured plan, that is unless someone is showing me around in which case I follow you to where ever you will take me.

PHILOSOPHY

It's hard to say because I'm not a Philosopher. I guess it would be that there is two sides to every story (maybe more)and you should always hear them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have done couch surfed overseas and had the most amazing time. I think there is no other way to get around than with a local. I have tried to make my own adventure with lonely planet or trip advisor and whilst I have had a good time nothing compares to the experience you get with a local. Some of the best experiences overseas have been with a locals and I would not trade those memories for anything. In saying that I am happy if you send me on my way with a few suggestions and a vague idea of what should be done.

I have hosted a few people and had a whilst I was not always able to show them around I tried my hardest to make a home away from home.

I have spent some time as a child in indigenous Australian communities and the Australian outback which is amazing I also saw my dad get bitten by a crocodile. Ankor Wat and the Taj Mahl were amazing! I cruised through Ha Long bay. Some of the most amazing storms and lightning shows in the northwest of Australia. Went skydiving Pinjarra in South Western Australia. Been to the heaven and back that is Kasol, India. Used my ill prepared lungs to hike to Everest base camp

Teach, Learn, Share

Well nothing really official, I'm kind of a jack of all trades and master of non if you will. I can teach you all I know about the places I have traveled. I'm in my last year of paramedicine and would be willing to teach you all I can remember.

If you are willing I would love to know all about you culture.
