About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Returning to the land of Sunshine and Roos!

ABOUT ME

I'm a laid back, easy going bohemian type, who spends way took much time either making graphics or getting his nerd on with star trek, I play a little guitar love live music along with reading, photography and urban exploration, and I'm also in love with walking around cities and sitting in the forests, deserts, mountains and whatever kind of nature you got.

Mostly at the moment I'm developing a couple of websites (one for travellers and another for revolutionary stuff) and spend my time either saving the world of hanging out with folks, I'm plotting and planning buying a boat and sailing to OZ all Sea Gypsy like too.

I smoke but not excessivly, and I can do quite happily without, and I like going out to bars n clubs and being social and what not,but I'm just as happy having a campfire n singalong or a star wars night, I listen to all kinds of music, though mostly digital rock or mellow acoustic stuff and these days a bit of dubstep does me good, but take me to a psy party or a hip hop club and I'm just as happy and hum,

I'm obviously not too great at plugging myself I guess.I'll come back to this.

PHILOSOPHY

I could spout something like liberty, equality and fraternity which would be true, but for a personal philosophy on why i live my life... well I guess it's making people smile, or at the least giving them a story or adventure, from blowing kisses at old folks and skin heads to taking friends on adventures into train graveyards, I like to make the world a tad most interesting that go out, drink, try and get laid, fight, sleep then go work. I hate all that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm effectively the Ambassadrino for Swansea tho I don't even know if the New CS has them ...

Moderate The Swansea forum
Admin the CS Swansea FB Page

my couch is open to more or less anyone, if you need a guide, a mate or a drinking buddy in south wales or manchester when I'm there I'm good for that.

Plenty of traveling around n such.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfer across Europe and America and hosted people from all over the world as well as organising the CS meets and events in Swansea for the past three years and admin the FB page.

Interests

Currently: making life work.

I'm into a whole heap of stuff, from reading and arty stuff, to skateboarding, gigs, photography,gaming,films,hiking... to be honest I just like doing things.

Collect vintage cameras, there's that..

I will say tho that some big interests are urban exploration, design and getting lost in random places.

Quite into Animal Rights with SwanseaAR and South Wales Hunt Sabs, which means I usually spend my saturdays out in the country chasing redcoats around saving foxes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I could no doubt write a very long list for this but I wont.

Movies, I like the fantasy films like pan's labynith and mirrormask as well as balls out action films like aliens and predator, and give me some star trek, korean thillers and kevin smith and you'll have a happy bunny.

Music, all musics good from niche things like Dr.Steel to all things "poppy", it all does a job, but my love is for the stuff between techno and rock, so all the banging repetative beat stuff that you dance too for three days mixed with some brutal moshy stuff.
Though you'll often find me well away from that listening to jazz, classical or some etheric vocal stuff, my music taste is very varied.

and books, Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett could amuse me for ever,I read alot of contempory authors and random books I find from in the libary or charity shops, though I occasionally hazard something heavy from the 19th century,I'm quite into graphic novels and comics too, actually I'm into comics a whole lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Toss Up between:

Wild camping on the south rim of the Grand Canyon, far away from anyone else, having a drink and a smoke as the sun set. just amazing... great until the midnight walk and the blair witchness of being lost in the GC forest lol.

Lake Wabbi, on K'gari (Frasier Island) in Australia, you walk across sand dunes for a hour, and just over a ridge your looking down on a crystal clear lake, with a cresent of rainforest backing it, the waters amazing and full of fish.

Teach, Learn, Share

well I've studied teaching english and graphics, so if you want a free lesson I'm there, beyond that like everyone else I have my own little way of seeing the world, and way of being, and while I'm away on walkabout I recon many people will change the way I see life the universe and everything. I try not to push my views on others, but if you care to hear how the men behide the curtain ain't nice and how to avoid corporations, just ask, I'll ramble for a while.
