About Me

Hi! I'm Rhune, right now I'm in my first year of studying a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Astronomy at KU Leuven. I love to travel and enjoy exploring new cities and immerse myself in their culture. Besides urban adventures, I also enjoy spending time in nature and discovering different landscapes from all over the world. Right now I'm interrailing in Europe and even though my goal isn't necessarily to visit all of the countries in the world I'd love to see as much as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love that its really accessible to meet people from all over the world! When visiting different countries I definitely want to see the famous 'must-see' monuments and places but I often enjoy it even more to see the hidden secrets or the places where you can just hang out and appreciate a different culture . I think by couch surfing this is a great way to do that.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie is by far interstellar it's definitely kind of cliché but it's what got me more into astronomy and physics and it made me realize that I that's also what I wanted to study. (actually studying physics and physics in interstellar are very different at the moment, but to me not any less interesting :) ) I also loved movies like the Shawshank redemption and inception but I'll often go for a less serious movie and the how to train your dragon movies will at least be in my top ten as well.

My favorite books are the secret garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Even though I haven't read many of his books, I loved the ones I've read of Terry Pratchett. He writes stories placed in the most absurd worlds with unthinkable characters but that's why I've found them so entertaining.

If I'm being honest my taste in music is kind of basic, but I'm open to discovering new artists and bands. However, I often prefer more tranquil music. I always do enjoy some live music.
