About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying every moment of this adventure

ABOUT ME

I was born and grew up in Mexico City. At the University, I studied Chemistry and when I finished my studies, I began teaching Chemistry to High School students. I taught Chemistry and Biology in different schools.
On May 2009, I quit the job. I traveled to several places within Europe for six weeks (Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Italy, Greece, France).
On August 2009, I walked the Camino de Santiago (north of Spain), that took me one month.
From September 2009 to June 2010, I lived at Swansea University, Wales. I was working as a volunteer, helping a disabled student in duties he could't manage with.
From July to October 2010 I traveled around India.
From May to November 2011 I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in USA.
Since I was a child, I learned English. When I was a teenager I began with French classes but I've forgotten most of it because I don't practice it.
In Mexico City I studied a PhD in Thanatology and Master's Degree in Transpersonal Psychotherapy.
Then I moved to Morelia and lived there for almost 2 years.
Right now I am living in Zirahuén, Michoacan.

PHILOSOPHY

If you really want it, take the risk and fight for it. Sooner or later, you´ll get it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've used Coachsurfing in Cardiff, London and Scotland. I also went to Rumania and there I met some Couchsurfers.
On December 2009 I went to Budapest Winter Camp, in which I met a lot of couchsurfers from all around the world. Really nice experience.
In Kolkata, I went to a Food Street meeting and I met Couchsurfers from Canada, France, Polland and India.
In Bodhgaya I took part of A Bowl of Compassion project, founded by Michael Saatkamp. In Varanasi, I met a Couchsurfer for a day, who took me to the most important places in that city.
In Delhi I met Pallavi and Shweta and we went trekking to Valley of Flowers.
I´ve also met Couchsurfers from Czech Republic, Poland and Germany.
I´ve promoted Couchsurfing with friends and family.
In Mexico City, I´ve hosted some people from different countries.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience was in Cardiff and a student host me in his house. He took me to Barry Island and at night we walked Cardiff center and had a beer with two other friends.
Then I went to London and I stayed with an Indian journalist who lives in London. He was a great host. He cooked and I washed the dishes. One night, I drank a shot of tequila.
On December 2009 I traveled to Rumania and I stayed with three really nice hosts (Timisoara, Sibiu and Radauti).
I went to the Budapest Winter Camp, that was a great experience. I met people from different countries and we had a lot of fun.
I traveled to Scotland and I met Couchsurfers in different places (Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh, St. Andrews, Aberdeen, Elgin).
In India, I met CS in Kolkata, Bodhgaya, Varanasi and Delhi.
In Mexico City I´ve hosted two italian girls, two girls from United States, a girl from Poland, a man from Australia.
In Mexico City I´ve met many Couchsurfers through different activities.

Interests

I've always enjoyed traveling and I've traveled a lot around Mexico, which is a really nice country, and has a lot of things to offer.
Since I was a child, I enjoy sports. Most of my life, I've run. On April, 2010, I ran my first Marathon.
In Mexico, I'm in a hiking group called Club de Exploraciones de Mexico. At least once a month I go hiking to some mountains in Mexico. Two times I went camping for a week to Coahuila and Chihuahua States.
At Swansea University, I joined the hiking club.
I also enjoy cycling a lot. When I was in Mexico, I used the bike frequently and in Swansea I bought one and I used the bike for doing exercise and as a mean of transportation.
I belong to Hash House Harriers Club that is "A Drinking Club with a Running Problem" and you can find this group all around the world. Good option to meet people, do some exercise and drink.
