ABOUT ME

I am a recent college graduate, co-owner of a video/film production business, mother and life partner. Recently I discovered whale watching.

Was raised in a Quiverfull home and Christian home schooled. If you were, as well, contact me! Will do my best to put up people who were/are traumatized by Evangelicals.

LGBTQ allies. Bigots need not apply. Don't care if you are religious, just as long as you don't use your religion to hurt (including exclude, judge) other people. And I don't mean merely having tolerance but you must actually believe that all people deserve the same rights (i.e.: same sex marriage is marriage).

PHILOSOPHY

I think authenticity is the most important trait. Finding out who I am and embracing myself were the two most important things I have ever done.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am open to hosting when I have free space. My household is tight but we do have room, on occasion. Hoping to utilize this site on occasion when we travel for a film and have no budget.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, we have never couch surfed using this site. Although we have couch surfed with friends/family. We clean up after ourselves and have manners. People invite us back.

Interests

I spend a lot of time volunteering for my neighborhood association, local schools and most recently for a non-profit that places women who are homeless.

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch films for inspiration and for escape. I have taken a break from reading lately. I read so much in college that I am sort of burnt. But I will likely begin reading, again, very soon. The music question always bugs me. I love music and a huge variety of music. I don't know if there is a genre I completely discount. Lately I have been listening to the Beatles a lot (my kiddos have discovered them!) and Ratatat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am a native Oregonian and had no idea (until 3 years ago) that there are resident whales on the coast. I didn't even know I loved whales until I saw them. My words could not give justice to how amazing whale watching is.
