G'day, my name is Rhys, I am 25 year old apprentice carpenter who is currently living in country Victoria and have been my whole life. I live in a quite peaceful town about 2 hours out of Melbourne and enjoy it that way. Where I live there are many walks/hiking tracks and nearby (smaller) mountains to explore. I live with my partner of 5 years and just love getting out and exploring nature when I can, I also enjoy overnight hikes and am up for showing anyone who might be interested :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A few friends have suggested Couchsurfing to me, and as I wish to travel overseas after my apprenticeship for a few years, I thought it would be a good idea to get my foot in the door and maybe make some friends along the way!

My music taste has varied over the years, I love listening to hip - hop, Jazz, and some rock. I do seem to prefer older music over the newer stuff.

I love reading fantasy books, anything that can make my imagination explode! Phillip K Dick is an author I have been reading as of late.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I like to think I am still young and have plenty of time to fill this part out with awesome stuff. I have always enjoyed my travels and plan on a big world trip when I have the money saved. I also think doing something amazing can consist of the awesome people you meet along your journey, either while I am doing something amazing, or the other person is.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have always wanted to learn German. I have tried many different apps but find myself losing interest after a few months, I would love to have someone teach me their language.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer a couch for anyone passing through (preferably on weekends) and also can be a hiking buddy for anyone interested in a few overnight walks.
