Hi there :) I'm an engineer in my mid-late twenties living in Auckland, New Zealand. At work I develop medical devices for hospitals, and outside of that I enjoy a wide range of outdoorsy activities.

I'm passionate about football, mountain biking, and skiing. But I enjoy having a go at any social sport with a bunch of friends!

When I have time, I like to work on DIY projects as well. In the past this has been lots of audio stuff, and more recently a bamboo bicycle. I'd like to try make some bamboo ski poles too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm not quite as travelled as I'd love to be (read: my twin brother has done way more amazing things around the world than me!) but there's still time to catch him up :)

I joined this community recently because of an upcoming trip to Iran, where I hear that couchsurfing is super popular. I'm looking forward to meeting some friendly locals, and having some great experiences!

Music ~ whatever alt pop/rock radio station isn't playing advertisements... // Movies ~ love a good heist movie. Or anything from Christopher Nolan! // Books ~ have been enjoying a bit of historical fiction lately, such as Conn Iggulden's saga about Genghis Khan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Road-tripping through Jordan with my twin brother and my girlfriend at the time ~ probably my favourite travel experience so far! Sleeping out in the desert of Wadi Rum, couchsurfing with bedouin at Petra, exploring old Crusader-era castles... it was fantastic!
