ABOUT ME (update pending)

These things are never so easy...
I´m 29, I enjoyed being a student (for what seemed like forever) but am trying to find my way in the aftermath of that. Probably spent a bit too much time abroad over the last few years. My last trip had me mixing straight travel and academic purposes in Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan. I'm interested in all kinds of things, but history, politics and hockey probably round out the top 3.
I find I can get along with just about anyone and I've yet to meet anything but good and decent people through CS.

PHILOSOPHY

After starring at this blank section for 5 minutes and still struggling to write something meaningful I guess we can call my personal philosophy... pending

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted folks visiting Ottawa, my hometown. Even if I can't host I try to always be available if anybody wants to hang or needs advice. And of course also try and surf with or just meet other CS'ers when I'm on the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only positive so far, and I certainly don't expect that to change. Pretty much a mix of hosting, surfing, and just meeting other CS'ers

All over the map. I love to read, follow politics closely, have keen interests in history and foreign places and cultures. I also like sports, definitely enjoy a good night on the town, and bit of traveling here and there.

Music: The National, Black Keys,Interpol Stan Rogers, John Fogerty and Johnny Cash.
Books: The Things They Carried, The Red Cavalry Stories, A Hero of Our Time, Zorba the Greek, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Death and the Penguin, and the Walking Dead.
Movies: Fight Club, Platoon, American History X, The Shawshank Redemption, Good Will Hunting, Predator, Terminator 2 and Aliens (soft spot for sci-fi movies that freaked me out as a kid.)
