À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION
maybe hosting you?

I am open-minded, outgoing, always available for a coffee or a beer/wine/gin. I love summer time and being outside. Other than being active I love food (I can cook for you), movies and chill mornings with coffee and a lingering breakfast (do you even say it that way?)

PHILOSOPHY

There is nothing more exciting than traveling and seeing new places, meeting different people and cultures and experience THEIR way of life. Life is full of adventures. We should go out and take advantage of that. Every day. By meeting people you bump into others again and we can learn from each other with every step we take. It's amazing to see how strangers get together and become friends by exchanging stories. I made a lot of friends while traveling and it's funny to see how ways cross again eventually.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I use couchsurfing to meet locals because it's always very interesting to meet others in a town that you visit. It's the people who live there and make a town for what it is, not the sights you visit! We are travellers, not tourists ;)

I understand Couchsurfing as a (cultural) exchange, about interests, life, and the person you are surfing with/hosting. I am not a random place to stay for free (which means: arriving late at night, leaving early next morning). I want to get to know the people who want to see Lüneburg. I can make you fall in love with the city!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a guy who hosts people in Toronto all the time. Hanging out with him means hanging out with different people from all over over the world as well.
I realized how great couchsurfing is and how wonderful the experiences are that you make while being with a person who knows the way around a city or place. Even after six weeks of spending time with him he kept on introducing me to new things which was simply amazing.
Also, when you show ppl around in your town, they see things you have never seen as special or even noticed them at all.

Centres d'intérêt

fitness, working out, hiking, the mountains, the outdoors, summer, music (especially live music and open airs), swimming, travelling, going to bars, dancing till the sun rises.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I listen to German music a lot, especially Hip Hop, but also Singer/Songwriter stuff. I also like what's on the radio. When I go out to dance I lose myself when there is music from the 90s (but that's a secret!).

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Sofia's sidewalk, different in front of every store, sometimes not paved at all, a lot of holes. Different but what a wonderful idea! (2012)

The day train from Beograde to Sarajevo - unbelievably old train, no air-condition at all, 43 degrees. 7 hours. (2012)

One night at Poznan, Poland, train station. And every 100 minutes the announcements that the train is a 100 more minutes delayed. (2013)

Shenandoah National Park, VA, USA - one day I will hike the entire Appalachian trail! (2014)

Toronto - Summer made me fall in love with the city. My heart will stay here forever. (2014)

The Rocky Mountains. They made me fall in love with mountains. Is there something more amazing than standing on top of something and having an overview over the entire world? (2014)

Thailand's relaxed way of life. (2015)

USA's nature with all the national parks; feeling that incredible heat in Las Vegas, when the outside temperature is higher than your body temperature and your body cools itself down. Indescribable. (2016)

Utah's nature and it's people. We met a bunch of Mormons in a river and they invited us into their home, for dinner and to go on a Jeep tour. We actually bumped into a family gathering of two families (in total 18 people). We fit in two Jeeps. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! (2017)

Hiking the Alps and making friends while drinking lots of schnaps up in the lodges in the Alps. (2018)

In Chisinau, Moldova, I met Artis from the US, he slept in the bed above mine and said „Hostels always feel like a never-ending sleepover. Except for your not in Elementary School anymore and you don‘t know the people you are having a sleepover with.“ (2018)

Being happy.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I can teach you how to make a penny stick to your head. And I can explain to you why it sticks (note: it's not the grease on your forehead that makes it stick to your skin!)

Also I can teach you how to make a floral wreath made of dandelions or daisies 😃✌️

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

My passion for food and cooking.
I can also introduce you to the power of Yoga and Meditation.
